Do you suffer from stress and/or stress-related health issues? If you do, you are not alone: out-of-control stress is the number one underlying factor to the onset of disease in the body. Aside from the emotional toll stress takes, it also affects our physical health. An estimated 43% of all adults suffer from the adverse effects of stress (headaches, heart problems, skin conditions, high blood pressure, asthma, arthritis, depression and anxiety and many more), and 75-90% of all doctor office visits are due to stress-related issues. According to Deb Shapiro in Your Body Speaks Your Mind, stress can be caused by many things. Emotional stress is often caused by major life changes (job loss or change, getting married or divorced, losing a loved one, moving, etc). If we don't properly express, deal with and release our fears and anxieties connected with trauma, crisis and life changes, this can lead to physical problems. In addition, being in a frequent state of stress can have a cumulative effect; it can cause our bodies to lose the capacity to “reset” to our normal resting mode; we also can become addicted to the cortisol and adrenaline that get released into our system when we are in "fight or flight" mode and start creating more stress in our lives. I offer a Stress Management Program designed to help you master your stress responses, as well as guide you through a healthy lifestyle shift to support stress-free living, as follows. • SESSION 1: STRESS MANAGEMENT - CHANGING GEARS In this initial session, in addition to the client intake interview (some medical history required), assessment and life coaching, you will have your first hypnosis session for stress management to help you start shifting gears in relation to your stress responses. • SESSION 2: STRESS MANAGEMENT - MIND/BODY AWARENESS This hypnosis session works with the body's physical response to stress through the suggestions that the subconscious will know when to appropriately respond with stress, and when not to; and that the body will know when and how to activate the response system, and when to shut it off. The subconscious will learn to differentiate between real “fight or flight” situations and common modern society stressors. • SESSION 3: RELEASING FEARS This hypnosis session works with releasing fears and core beliefs which are often behind the feelings of stress and anxiety. • SESSION 4: REMOVING BLOCKS AND BARRIERS This hypnosis session works with removing known or unknown blocks, barriers and limitations which contribute to the feelings of stress and anxiety. • SESSION 5: CHANGING HABITS This hypnosis session helps you change an unhealthy habit which promotes the feelings of stress and anxiety (unhealthy diet, lack of exercise and proper rest, soft addictions such as too much TV, etc).
